Cersaie 2019: the value of the ceramics production
The Cersaie 2019 edition is coming to an end: we had the pleasure of personally visiting the Bologna fair and talking with many ceramic exhibitors, both Italian and foreign.
The quality, the beauty and the elegance of the exposed ceramics, tiles and bathroom furniture were amazing.
The ceramic numbers
During the opening international press conference of Cersaie 2019 held on September 23rd, the president of the promotional activities of Confindustria Ceramica, Emilio Mussini, reported the main numbers that characterize this production sector in Italy and abroad: the largest producer of tiles at world is currently China with 29% of millions of square meters produced; in second place we can find Italy and Spain, each country with 15% of square meters produced; in third place we find India, with a significant and growing 10%.
