.. with final destination Panama! ##ConsolShipment
In conjunction with the fifth anniversary of the expansion of the Panama Canal we propose a new case study, once again concerning the logistics of Made in Italy furniture in Venice .. this time with destination Panama. (please visit our news section to discover the other #CONSOL case histories)
We are talking about a regular traffic of sea freight shipments managed in collaboration with our freight forwarding partner in Panama on behalf of a furniture store in the Panamá region.
The Panamanian retailer represents some Italian brands he often buys furnishing accessories of all kinds from: kitchens, armchairs, bedroom furniture, etc.
Furniture logistics services: the ocean freight consolidation services
We arrange full container loadings on a weekly basis. The ocean freight consolidation services of goods originating from several suppliers and destined to one single importer is the best solution to optimize supply chain logistics, save time and reduce cost.
In close coordination with every single exporter, we groupe and store goods at our supporting warehouse in Venice, in compliance with the departure of the vessel.
Panama and the preferential trade agreements with the European Union
Once collections of goods are completed and before carrying out the container stuffing, we proceed with the customs formalities at our warehouse.
As Panama is part of the list of non-EU countries that have trade agreements with the EU, the customer also requires the certify the preferential origin of goods.
In this specific case, all shippers have the approved exporter status, so they can give proof of the preferential origin of the goods exported directly using the invoice declaration and without any limitation in the amount.
The invoice declaration submitted by the Approved Exporter substitutes the issuance of the EUR 1 movement certificate for the exports towards Countries that have a trade agreement with the EU. Thanks to this declaration, the customer in the destination Country won’t have to pay customs duties or will have to pay inferior customs duties. It is a simplification set out in Art. 120 of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2015/2447.
Ocean freight shipment
Once stuffing operations are completed, the containers directed to Port of La Spezia will be loaded on the vessel destined to Port of Cristobal, Panama.
At destination, our forwarding agent will follow the customs clearance and final delivery to the customer.
As international freight forwarder specialized in the ocean freight consolidation services and the furniture logistics, you can count on our professionalism for your shipments to/from Italy.
