Sea transport Italy Oman “screened” in the time machine: departure in 2019, expected arrival in 2020
In collaboration with our German freight forwarding partner, we have curated a sea freight shipment with destination Oman and containing screening plants for cereals and dried legumes.
The 21 containers departed in mid-December from the Port of Venice and will arrive in Sohar Port about mid-January 2020, in a sort of journey .. between two eras!
The parties involved are the German trading company who invoiced the Omani end customer (deciding about transport), and the Italian shipper invoicing the German trader.
We are talking about a triangle shipment, where the customs clearance formalities were carried out in Italy using the EORI code (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) and the commercial documents of the German company.
Last but not least the presence of the letter of credit as method of payment, which makes necessary to strictly follow its instructions on the required documents, languages to use, original BL, how to issue them etc..and the kind of transport.
Our Omani customer will definitely start the new year with a good “crop”!
